Excitement is building for the 2013 La Jolla Christmas Parade this Sunday, Dec. 8! This year, the School has rented an Old Town trolley that will hold 35 members of the Gillispie community and will be decorated with the help of parent volunteers to fit this year’s theme of “Christmas in the Surf and Sand.”
We’d love to have spectacular spectators:
- Start time for the parade is 2:00 p.m. The parade route begins near Kline Street between Girard Avenue and Fay Street and ends near the La Jolla Rec Center.
- We encourage Gillispie students to wear their gala t-shirts (sent home this week) to show a strong Gillispie presence at the event. Please keep these gala t-shirts handy for future events (Spirit Day, Jr. Olympics, etc.)
- Come one, come all! Please join Gillispie fans at the corner of Silverado and Girard (in front of the Union Bank) to cheer the trolley on. Bells will be distributed to jingle as the trolley passes.
Have a great time at the parade, everyone, and thanks to all of our wonderful volunteers who have helped us prepare for this event!
We look forward to seeing you all on Sunday.
