This past week, Ms. Wear's third graders joined Ms. Daniel's second graders for a shopping spree!

In this hands-on market experience, second graders designed their own products and set up shop for third-graders. Students had to budget their spending and use number sense to estimate the best way to allocate their funds. Meanwhile, the young sellers sharpened their math skills, carefully adding and subtracting to ensure customers received the correct change.

The marketplace buzzed with excitement as second graders showcased their creativity, crafting unique products, and designing eye-catching "billboard signs" to advertise their goods.

From bracelets to bookmarks, keychains, dancing robots, original artwork, fidgets, crafts, 3D puzzles, and more, students had a blast negotiating, persuading, and practicing essential math skills!

What started as a simple math unit on money transformed into an engaging, real-world learning experience for all.
