When students arrived at school on Tuesday, they were met with a spectacular sight—a vibrant flock of flamingos had taken over the front of the campus! This dazzling display marked the kickoff of the Silent Auction, part of our Miami Vice Spring Gala.

This was a true school-wide effort! Under the guidance of our amazing art teacher, Ms. Walters, K-6 students created more than 200 flamingos, each uniquely decorated with its own shade of pink, wings, and other details. Our Early Childhood students also joined in, painting smaller flamingos to add to the lively scene at the Fay entrance.

Excited students searched for their own flamingo, parents snapped photos in front of the colorful installation, and some children even wondered if a special party was about to begin! More than just a fun surprise, the Flamingo Takeover was a joyful celebration of creativity, collaboration, and the strong sense of community that makes our school so special.

A huge thank you to the students, Ms. Walters, as well as the teachers and parents who helped bring this vision to life. The flock has landed—now let the bidding begin!
