On Tuesday, May 14th, our student-led No Place for Hate Committee hosted an important school-wide pledge event.
Gillispie students, staff, faculty, and families gathered in the gym to learn about the pledge and sign the large No Place for Hate banner.
The No Place for Hate Pledge includes five promises, demonstrating a dedication to treating everyone fairly, being an ally, and contributing to a safe and welcoming environment at our school.
Here’s what we pledged:
- We promise to do our best to treat everyone fairly.
- We promise to do our best to be kind to everyone, even if they are not like us.
- If we see someone being hurt or bullied, we will tell a teacher.
- Everyone should be able to feel safe and happy at school.
- We want our school to be a No Place for Hate.
Congratulations to our No Place for Hate student committee for organizing this important event!
