Gillispie science teacher Chip Edwards adjusts the video camera during an early morning international videoconference with the administrator of a school in India and a classroom of students in Montana. The live online exhange of questions and reflections from their unit on depleted international fisheries is part of the NAIS Challenge 20/20 program.
Students from neighborhood school Stella Maris Academy visited Gillispie today for a coming together of Grade 5 Spanish-language pen pals. Students got to finally meet their pen pals face to face, shared with each other what they liked about the experience, and enjoyed a cultural program that included Spanish flamenco dancing by Tana's mother, Alex, and a reception with foods featuring Latin countries.
Tyler enjoys meeting his pen pal from Stella Maris.
