Kindergarten recently held their 5th Annual Australia Day Celebration!
Wearing their special Australia Day t-shirts and Akubras hats, students boarded their plane piloted by Captain Inigo.
Upon arrival, they met Dr. Cliff Oliver who gave them a didgeridoo lesson. They then ate an Australian-style barbecue lunch and had a Q & A session with Gillispie parent and Australian native Kelly Kjos.
As the day went on, the students decorated boomerangs, created Aboriginal cave drawings, and filled in a giant, blank map of Australia with pictures of the landmarks, animals, and locations they’ve learned about throughout the year. It was a fantastic day!
