In Round 1, 144 students voted. They narrowed the field from the “Sweet 16” titles to the “Elite 8”. Students chose a nonfiction picture book about jumping spiders over the 2024 Caldecott medalist!
In Round 2, 155 students voted. We narrowed the field from the “Elite 8” to the “Final 4”, and the 2024 Newbery medalist was knocked out of the competition!
We are now in Round 3, our final round. The final four books are The Skull by Jon Klassen and Mr. S by Monica Arnaldo in the picture book division, and The Mona Lisa Vanishes by Nicholas Day and The Probability of Everything by Sarah Everett in the chapter book division.
We will crown the picture book champion and chapter book champion at the Morning Greeting Meeting on Tuesday, April 2nd.
