Gillispie's Music Teacher, Mr. Lewis, held Informances for the families and friends of our littlest learners in Early Childhood, from preschool to PreK.
The Informances began with a welcome song, setting the tone for a heartwarming performance. Students demonstrated their musical skills by practicing solfège with hand signs, singing a call-and-response song, maintaining a steady beat with egg shakers, drumming on bongos, and performing together. Laughter filled the room as everyone paired up to dance with colorful scarves, transforming the space into a joyful swirl of movement and melody. A particularly memorable moment this year was when a tiny sibling confidently joined the class on stage!
At Gillispie, we encourage parents and families to participate in their child’s learning journey. During these Informances, parents join the fun by singing along, playing instruments, and dancing side by side with their little ones.
Informances provide students with a platform to showcase their growth, allow parents to connect with their children's learning, and strengthen the bonds that make Gillispie School such a special place.
Thank you to Mr. Lewis and our Early Childhood teachers for making these Informances such a wonderful experience!
