Juniper explored cyanotype printing to create “Floral Echos” for the Boots & Bling Silent Auction. Cyanotype is an antique photographic process where light-sensitive fabric captures anything that casts a shadow, producing blue monochromatic prints.
Working together, the children collected flowers from the gardens around the school and arranged them on the cyanotype fabric. Excitement filled the air as the fabric transformed under the sun’s rays. But the real magic happened when the children rinsed the fabric in cool water!
Juniper collaborated with Mr. Royer to craft a custom wooden frame that beautifully displays their cyanotypes.
Don’t miss the chance to bid on “Floral Echos” and other early childhood artwork at the Boots & Bling Silent Auction on April 13th!
